Clifton Life Savers

Founded in 1956 Clifton is one of the oldest surf lifesaving clubs in South Africa. Originally located on 1st beach the club relocated to its current location on 4th beach in the late 1970’s. The club has a rich history of both local and international competition.

Clifton Surf is a non-profit volunteer based organisation that oversees the public safety of Clifton 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th beach. They have over 350 members made up of Nippers (8-14 years), Juniors, Seniors and Masters.

Patrol Times
12h00 till 18h00 on Saturdays
10h00 till 18h00 on Sundays
In season and all public holidays between 1st November and Easter weekends
