Clifton Life Savers

Founded in 1956 Clifton is one of the oldest surf lifesaving clubs in South Africa. Originally located on 1st Beach the club relocated to its current loction on 4th beach in the late 1970's.
The club has a rich history of both local and interntaional competition.

Organisation

Clifton Surf is a non-profit volunteer based organisation that oversees the public safety of Clifton 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th beaches.

They have over 350 members made up of Nippers (8-14 years), Juniors, Seniors and Masters.

Patrol Times

The voluntary lifeguard season runs from first weekend in November until Easter Monday

12:00 - 18:00 on Saturdays
10:00 - 18:00 on Sundays
